PROMETHEUS

A World Premiere

19 - 28 Aug 2026

Unleashing the Future’s Fire

Ignite your students’ creativity with the world premiere of Prometheus, a thrilling new work by Sport for Jove, commissioned by the NSW Department of Education. Written especially for Drama students across NSW, this immersive and contemporary production offers a unique opportunity to see the play brought to life by professional actors.

Perfect for Years 7 – 11, Prometheus reimagines the ancient myth through the lens of the AI revolution—exploring the moral dilemmas, creative risks, and consequences of building machines that can think for themselves. What happens when humanity steals fire from the gods again—this time in the form of artificial intelligence?

Written and directed by Damien Ryan, the play is theatrical, thought-provoking, and designed to be performed in the classroom by student casts ranging from six to thirty students. It invites adaptation, personal interpretation, and discussion, making it an ideal foundation for exploring ensemble work, contemporary themes, and dramatic structure.

Don’t miss this chance to experience Prometheus live on stage, where myth meets machine and the future is set ablaze.
