PARKING

The Shepherd Street car park (directly next to the Seymour Centre) is being upgraded by the University of Sydney to ensure a better experience for our patrons and therefore is closed from 14 March onwards. 

There is limited street parking available surrounding Seymour including on the main campus of Sydney University (check map here). On-campus parking works through licence plate recognition, and payment can be made through campus parking meters or the CelloPark App. The closest parking station to Seymour is Broadway Shopping Centre which is a 10-minute walk away and free after 6 pm.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, and we look forward to a newer, safer Shepherd Street car park. 

Access Parking

There are three accessibility parking spaces close to Seymour on Maze Crescent, if a disability sticker is displayed parking is free. These spaces are approximately 100 meters from the Seymour Centre main foyer.

For peace of mind, we recommend organising to be dropped off as these parking spaces are available on a first-come-first-served basis. If you would like to discuss your accessibility needs, please contact our Box Office and one of our friendly staff can assist you. 

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

There is lift access to all levels of the centre and wheelchair seating is available in all venues. Patrons can stay in their wheelchair or transfer from their chair to a seat and we can reserve an adjacent seat for companions. If you require wheelchair seating, please advise the Box Office when booking.

ACCESSIBLE TOILETS

Fully accessible toilets are located on the ground floor.

HEARING LOOPS

Hearing loops are available in the Everest and York theatres for specific shows, amplifying sound for certain areas of seating. If you require hearing loop access, please advise the Box Office when booking.

COMPANION CARDS

The Seymour is a Companion Card affiliate. We provide cardholders with a second ticket for their chosen companion at no cost. Cardholders must present their card when booking and attending an event.

Seymour Centre’s elevator is accessible from both the Lower Foyer and the Main Foyer (including the Box Office). This elevator can take you directly to the Everest Theatre foyer.

Alternatively, there are two staircases with handrails leading up to the Everest Theatre. Both the side and middle staircase have 26 steps to reach the Upstairs Foyer and Bar.

BATHROOM

The nearest bathroom to the Everest Theatre is downstairs behind the Box Office. Patrons will need to use the stairs or elevator to access these facilities.

LEVEL ACCESS

All patrons enter via the back of the theatre and use the stairs to walk down to their seats. Patrons with level access requirements may use a private corridor with the assistance of a Seymour Staff member. If you have level access requirements please notify Box Office staff before your arrival. 

ENTRY AND EXIT POINTS

The primary entry and exit point is at the back of the theatre. Level access is closed during the performance except in case of emergencies. 

RAKED SEATING

Seating in the Everest Theatre rakes from row F onwards, meaning row F is the first elevated row.

430mm wide. 

REMOVABLE SEATING

There are access seats that can be removed to enable ease for wheelchair patrons. If you require removable seats please notify Box Office staff on 02 7255 1561.

Alternatively, there is a staircase with a handrail leading down to the Reginald Theatre. This staircase has 15 stairs then a landing and then an additional 7 steps.

The nearest bathroom to the Reginald Theatre is upstairs behind the Box Office. Patrons will need to use the stairs or elevator to access these facilities.

Level access entry is in Row A.
