The Environment and Me

14 - 16 Jun 2023

Past Event

A bite-sized musical journey introducing students to the sensational world of live orchestral music.

How does music tell stories of our planet? Long influenced by the natural world, music inspires us to see and feel the hidden beauty around us – the leaves rustling in the breeze, the birds singing, the moon rising.

With sustainability as one of the most pressing issues we face today, music is another place for students to think about what nature means to them – and what they’ll need to do to preserve it for future generations.

Each one-hour concert combines exciting musical pieces with interactive performances that are designed to inspire the next generation of music lovers.

Through the power of performance education, your students will be able to engage with and listen to the importance of sustainability.

Aligned with the NSW Curriculum, each concert is supported by a free Teacher Resource Kit from Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
