Royal Academy of Dance presents
The Joan & Monica Halliday and Isobel Anderson Awards are flagship events for world leading dance organisation, the Royal Academy of Dance; and rank amongst the most prestigious ballet competitions in NSW.
Over 600 candidates from across the state compete in preliminary and semi-final classes in the lead up to the Finals; as well as taking part in a Commissioned Choreography Workshop where they learn new works from Bangarra's Rikki Mason, to present at the Finals.
The event attracts eager and talented classical dancers in the state and highlights the art form's rising stars. Join us as each of the finalists present a Royal Academy of Dance classical variation and one of three new contemporary Commissioned Choreography pieces in a spectacular afternoon of dance.
