Seymour and Sam Kissajukian present

300 Paintings

20 May - 12 Jun 2027

One comedian. A six-month bipolar manic episode. 300 paintings.

In 2021, Sam Kissajukian quit his decade-long stand-up comedy dream to become…a painter.

What followed was an extraordinary burst of creation as he painted day after day. What he didn’t know was that he was in the middle of an undiagnosed bipolar manic episode, and that his paintings were documenting his shifting mental states.

In this hilarious, fascinating, and wildly original show, Kissajukian takes audiences down the rabbit hole with him, through the highs of mania and the lows that followed. Blending stand-up, storytelling, and the paintings themselves, what begins as a guided tour of one man’s art becomes a compelling look at resilience and the blurred line between breakthrough and breakdown.

With hit seasons Off-Broadway at Vineyard Theatre, American Repertory Theatre at Harvard and McCarter Theatre at Princeton, the Drama Desk-nominated 300 Paintings comes home to Sydney.
