Sydney will once again be transformed when Vivid Sydney enthrals audiences with the largest program of light, music and ideas in its six year history.

The Seymour Centre is proud to collaborate with Vivid Sydney for a second year and returns with a contemporary and experimental music weekend New Wave: Sound for Vivid Music. Bookings are now open.

Returning as part of Vivid Ideas is the popular University of Sydney, Sydney Ideas. In 2014 we revisit the inspired 2013 panel discussion I’m not creative but… where academics from a range of disciplines talk about true creativity in the risk-adverse higher education sector. Come and hear what motives them to move beyond the traditional teaching and research formats.

Sydney Ideas will also explore the latest practice in teaching our education students to teach creativity over two sessions with local and international speakers. The New Wave: Ideas program is now on sale, with one more event to be announced.

We look forward to seeing you after dark!

Wait there’s more….

Lights, music and ideas at the University of Sydney
For the first time, the University is taking part in Vivid Sydney by featuring a spectacular illumination of our Quadrangle with Indigenous and local art, performances and Sydney Ideas talks at the Seymour Centre, as well as lighting installations, live entertainment to mark this year’s National Reconciliation Week.
