Bar Supervisor

We are seeking reliable, experienced and customer-focused Bar Supervisors to oversee operations and ensure the smooth running of our bar on shift. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good leadership skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

As the Bar Supervisor, you will manage Bar Staff on shift, schedule breaks where required, monitor stock levels, uphold health and safety standards and help to ensure guests have a great experience at the venue. This role requires hands-on involvement in service, staff training and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise operations of the bar whilst on shift, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness
  • Support and lead bar staff during shifts, providing training, guidance and motivation
  • Monitor and report stock levels and help to ensure stock is well organised
  • Compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and hygiene regulations
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
  • Perform accurate cash handling procedures, including opening and closing till counts, reconciling discrepancies against POS reports
  • Submitting end-of-shift reports and collaborating with management to improve service 

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in customer service roles
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of bar operations and interest in hospitality 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Valid RSA 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
