Co-creator and Performer, Glass Child

Maitreyah Guenther is an artist from regional New South Wales, where the complexities of human nature and disability rights fuel her creative fire. Known for asking the tough questions, she pushes her audience to confront the unspoken, encouraging both self-reflection and action. Trained with The Farm’s Youth Ensemble Greenhouse and various workshops and developments over the years. An aspiring writer/poet and curiosity for film, Maitreyah’s work spans across performance, acting, and choreography. In 2019, she co-directed a duet with her brother Kayah at the World Down Syndrome Conference in Glasgow. Together, they co-choreographed Glass Child, alongside Gavin Webber and Kate Harman, a critically acclaimed piece, with successful seasons at HOTA, QPAC, and a 2025 national tour.
