Jo Dyer
Actor, Trophy Boys
Jo is an artist from Mulubinba-Newcastle, NSW, whose process-driven practice includes painting, experimental installation, assemblage, and photographic documentation. For Jo, art is a relational act, blending self-expression with receptivity. She engages with materials and media as lively collaborators, playfully negotiating each artwork's outcome.
Jo studied a Bachelor of Arts (Creative Arts) at the University of Newcastle, including a semester in La Rochelle, France. Since graduating in 2008, she has exhibited in group and solo shows in Newcastle, Melbourne, and Sydney, with her work held in private collections in Australia and overseas. A finalist in the 2013 Newcastle Emerging Art Prize, Jo is currently completing a Master of Fine Art at RMIT.
