Hamish Elliot

Set Designer, The Turn of The Screw

Hamish Elliot is a Sydney-based designer working across film and theatre. He attended the Design Centre Enmore where he first attained a Certificate III before continuing on to do a Diploma in Live Production Design. Having found a passion for performance design Hamish attended the National Institute of Dramatic Art and graduated with a BFA in Design for Performance in 2019. Since graduating Hamish has worked across many fields including screen, theatre and opera. 

The set design for The Turn of the Screw is Hamish’s return to theatre design having spent the last few years working in film. His last theatre production was 2021’s Significant Other, Dir. Hayden Tonazzi, at the New Theatre.

Hamish’s recent screen work includes working in set decoration on David Leitch’s The Fall Guy in 2022/23 and George Miller’s Furiosa in 2021/22.
