Emmanuelle Mattana

Emmanuelle Mattana is an actor, writer, and maker passionate about blending playful and political stories for young, queer audiences. Best known for her lead role in the Emmy-nominated Mustangs FC (ABCMe x Matchbox Pictures), she also appeared in The Messenger (ABC), Surviving Summer, Clickbait (Netflix), and Ms Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries (Acorn TV).
Trophy Boys, a queer black comedy, is her debut work as a playwright, and will tour nationally in 2024 after a sold-out Melbourne run. It has won BroadwayWorld Australia's Best New Play and is nominated for 4 GreenRoom Awards including Best New Writing and Best Production.
A member of Sydney Theatre Company's Watershed: Writers Group and Malthouse Theatre's Emerging Writers Group, she won the 2023 Equity Foundation Scholarship to study at Atlantic Acting School. Her award-winning kids' comedy short film, The Odyssey, has been recognised at various film festivals.
Emmanuelle narrates children's series like The Travelling Bookshop and Me and the Robbersons and works commercially. She currently teaches the Youth Ensemble at 16th Street Actors Studio and coaches young actors privately.
