Q is for... Quack
Presented by Shopfront Arts Co Op
18 – 21 June 2026 | Arts Co-op in Carlton
In a smog-choked city, Benedict E. Quigley: Private Duck Detective waddles in - broke, burnt out, and on strike. What follows is a chaotic descent into a bureaucratic afterlife where nothing works, no one’s helpful, and Quigley’s detective skills are… questionable at best.
Blending handcrafted puppetry with scale models and collage, Q is for... Quack is the directorial film debut of Marlow Lackner, an author, illustrator, puppet artist, and new-wave/alternative rock producer.
Developed through Shopfront’s Members Production program, the event offers behind-the-scenes workshops and showings, sharing the creative process and challenges of building this richly strange world.
They're offering a giveaway for 5 double passes for performances on 20 and 21 June. Please email rsvp@shopfront.org.au with your preferred date and time, and QUACK SEYMOUR in the subject line.
