NSW Department of Education presents

STATE DANCE FESTIVAL 2025

Elevate

15 - 19 Sep 2025

The 2025 NSW Public Schools State Dance Festival "Elevate" is a showcase of choreographed dance works representing items from each local dance festival across NSW.

The festival program features five different programs across five evening shows, celebrating the creative talents of teachers and over 1,500 public school students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

During the week, there are numerous opportunities for students to attend the festival's workshop program, which offers dance classes in a variety of styles. Additionally, a professional development day for teachers, focusing on curriculum changes, compositional process and choreography and Aboriginal culture, storytelling and protocol in dance will be taught by key industry professionals.
