Powerhouse presents

Astronaut Forum

2 Oct 2025

Join astronauts from around the world as they share insights on travelling to space, science in zero gravity and what it feels like to return to Earth.

The forum will feature Australian Space Agency’s Katherine Bennell-Pegg, Koichi Wakata from Axiom Space, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla and more soon-to-be-announced astronauts who’ve flown on missions with NASA, the European Space Agency and Space X.

Katherine Bennell-Pegg is an Australian astronaut working at the Australian Space Agency. In her role, she is unlocking more pathways for Australians to be involved with human spaceflight, including through micro-gravity research and extensive public outreach encouraging women and girls to pursue STEM education and careers. She completed her training as an astronaut with the European Space Agency and is the first qualified astronaut under the Australian flag.

The Australian Space Agency (ASA) is the national body responsible for advancing Australia's position in the global space economy. Established in 2018, it works across government, industry and academia, focusing on technical expertise, international engagement, funding opportunities, policy advice and regulation of space activities. ASA also plays a key role in building Australia’s future STEM workforce and inspiring the next generation of space entrepreneurs.
