COVID-19 Advice

We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of all our patrons and employees. As such, starting from Tuesday 17 March 2020, we will be suspending all operations at the Seymour Centre.

We realise this will come as a disappointment to current ticketholders, but public health and safety is paramount. As part of the University of Sydney, we are following advice from the Australian Government Department of Health and NSW Health regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely over the coming weeks, and thank you for your patience, understanding and support during this challenging time.

I have tickets for an affected show. What do I do?

If you purchased your tickets in person or over the phone from the Seymour Box Office...

You will be contacted by our Box Office as soon as possible.

If you purchased your tickets online from the Seymour website...

Please click here to log in to your Seymour online account. Once you have logged in, you will be taken to a Booking Preferences page for your show. All your booking options (e.g. refund tickets, exchange tickets to new performance date, donate cost of tickets) will be visible. Select your preferred option, and our Box Office will process your transaction accordingly.

If you choose to refund your tickets:

  • You will be refunded the full amount you paid, including transaction fee.
  • Please use the ‘Other’ option on the Booking Preferences page to communicate any special requests you would like to personally discuss with the Box Office before we process your refund. We cannot use the ‘Other’ option to accept exchange or donation requests; this option is only for special requests relating to your refund.
  • Our Box Office will aim to process your refund within seven days of receiving your request. Please contact the Box Office if funds have not appeared in your account after 14 days.

If you choose to exchange your tickets for a new performance date:

  • Please visit your show’s dedicated event page (found in the What’s On section of our website) for a complete list of new performance dates and times.
  • Please make a note of which new performance you would like to attend as you will need to type this information into the Booking Preferences form.

If you choose to donate the cost of your tickets:

  • The COVID-19 crisis has put the producers of all our shows under serious financial strain. The cost of your donated tickets will go towards helping these producers stay afloat during this challenging time, and ensure they can continue to produce stand-out shows long into the future.

Please note our Box Office may need to contact you to clarify your request or update your details.

If you purchased your tickets from a ticketing agency (e.g. Ticketmaster)

Please contact the ticketing agency directly to refund, exchange or donate your tickets.
