Kirsty Semaan is a Sydney-based director, producer, and theatre-maker driven by a passion for bold storytelling and captivating visuals. As founder and Artistic Director of Space Jump Theatre Company, she champions Australian playwrights and elevates female voices, aiming to get powerful stories off shelves and back on stage.
Her directing credits include Woyzeck (2021), A Mouth Full of Birds (2022), and Driving the Holden (2022). In 2023, she co-produced and directed the sold-out short-form project Long Story Short. More recently, Kirsty produced and directed Two Hearts (2025) and served as Assistant Director for Blood Wedding (2024), both at Flight Path Theatre.
A University of New England Theatre and Performance graduate, Kirsty’s two decades in photography have honed her eye for striking composition and polished production. She thrives on collaboration, mentoring emerging artists, and embraces change with a commitment to creating theatre that feels fresh, relevant, and memorable.
