The Seymour Centre is incredibly proud to continue to support Treehouse Theatre and the return of Suitcase Stories, a poignant and powerful production in which refugee children share the heart-breaking true stories of their journeys on stage.
Coming from countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, each cast member is a survivor of the world events we witness daily on the evening news. Each performs their own story of escape, survival and eventual triumph through a powerful fusion of spoken word, movement, sound, light and projected imagery.
By allowing the audience a glimpse into their pasts filled with joy and pain, the performers are able to overcome their trauma and begin to heal. Now attending Holroyd High School and Intensive English Centre, these amazing young people will take you on a roller coaster ride of tears and laughter.
This production contains themes of war and violence.
