The NSW Public Schools State Drama Festival is a two day showcase of outstanding devised drama performances from public schools students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
Pieces range from movement and comedy to drama, and feature work from The Arts Unit Ensemble program, State Drama Camp and schools across NSW. The festival is in partnership with NIDA.
This showcase is the culmination of the excellent work happening in public schools across the state in drama and the performing arts. The festival involves more than 800 students from 100 different schools.
Thursday’s matinee contains items from primary and infants schools and Friday’s matinee contains secondary items only. The evening shows are a combination of both. There are also drama workshops available over the festival days. If your school is interested in attending a pre-show workshop with industry tutors, contact The Arts Unit at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note: One teacher ticket free with every 10 paying students for both the matinee and evening shows when using the school booking form. This is applicable to teachers only, not accompanying parents.
