The three finalists for the Joan Carden Award (a biennial award made by the Choir to support promising young singers) will have the chance to “strut their stuff” – they will perform solo arias with the orchestra and the winner will be announced at the end of the concert.
The full choir will perform three secular works by Johannes Brahms on the theme of mortal destiny (Nänie, Schicksalslied, Gesang der Parzen), and the Chamber Choir will present Fanny Hensel-Mendelssohn’s cantata Hiob.
Three Award finalists plus choir and orchestra.
