Fiona Joy Hawkins celebrates the release of her new album 600 Years in a Moment with an evening of music that takes a journey to the past, the present and then future.
ARIA Finalist, Celtic pianist and singer Fiona Joy Hawkins performs with The Blue Dream Ensemble and Guest Artist Chooka Parker from Australia’s Got Talent.
600 Years in a Moment was created as an answer to the question of ‘globalisation’ in a musical sense. Hawkins recorded using an Australian Stuart and Sons piano with ancient instruments from around the world to bring the village and its hidden treasures into a modern musical setting.
The Blue Dream Ensemble players include Rebecca Daniel’s stunning voice and violin (ACO), Dr John Napier cello, Bukhu the Mongolian Throat Singer and Horse Fiddler, and the amazing sounds and rhythm of Andy Busuttil.
